Silence.When the silence comes
we will be called the contemplators,
originators but never innovators.
We will serenade ourselves at night
with the arabesque pinwheels
of the unquantifiable, and the inescapably
abstract pooling behind
closed eyelids.

Abstract and abstruse.
It's in our nature –
we are the tawny wings
pasted on scrawny and thick
bodies, waiting for anyone to turn
on the lamp and suck us in.
We hope for heaven,
and only get burned.

But when it comes
we'll be waiting. We were never
outspoken – listeners,
not storytellers, because no one
ever wants our stories.
We're the ones left behind
but left intact

WitherCan hope like roses,
wither to dust.
When dreams are lost,
in nightmares maw?

A Classic Theme of Love and Hatethere's a love and there's a hate
that grow inside of me

love nutured by the good in you
hate rising from the troubles I was put through
waiting for the backlash from my words
laying,
imagining the end of the world

Never Let GoLook, my darling, past the trees and sky
It can barely be seen with your little eye
But I know in your mind, it burns so bright
It's presence lives in you day and night

As we grow older, it fades to grey
And all the memories made slowly slip away
Don't let that be you, no matter how hard it seems
Never let go of the land of your dreams

The Unholy RiderThe unholy rider came,
To deliver you to mourning and majesty.
Discarded fate and desire drove him,
To that cold desert where you lay.

The ancient weapon at the ready,
He stepped into your faithful fortress,
Cold bliss and perpetual wrath stand,
In those timeless eyes of his.

White moon flew after summers set,
Watching for that moment of grace and glory.
His cloak flowed long and heavy,
Woven of shrieking fire and slumbering shadows.
His mare screamed in coldest night,
Mane ablaze with undying fury.
You waited, patient and silent;
For that unholy rider.

He raised a dark sword,
Flashing with flawed perfection.
You never shook

TimeSo long ago,
I had a wall around my heart
when it was engulfed in shadow
and feeling had torn it apart

but through time
this wall has begun to crumble
letting go no longer a crime
what lies outside, isn't lethal

for the first time I am exposed
there's no one here to hurt me
but theres no love proposed
so I'll wait, for a heart not icy

What lies ahead
will I find love again
or more pain that I dread
only to hurt me again

Your ChoiceYou carry with you
An aura of beautiful serenity
Calming those around you
Stealing my thoughts
When you leave my presence

Although I have yet to see
I imagine that even in
A moment of faltering
You would be elegant

And if the day comes
That you stumble

But some day
I will reveal myself
And it will be up to you
To either accept me
Or cast me away for good
Like many before you

The Waves of UncertaintyThere is truth in my waves of uncertainty,
their message hidden in the foam of my eyes.

         to the glass
                 within my heart,
it shatters
         much too easily
                 from words of the wise.

It sits in a safe that's tightly locked
In darkness its beauty is forever sealed
Its gleaming features never revealed

Crooks and thieves that crave its wealth
Have tried to steal it with their stealth
Failure follows them every time
Death is the penalty for this crime

Often times, to make them feel shame
I have them participate in a little game
They bet their souls like poker chips
Completely aware of what's at risk

If they win, I will hold up my side of the deal
And give them what they came to steal
But if their game results in loss
Their souls are placed inside my box

PeaceIf the world had more pens and poets,
And less guns and bullets,
Maybe then we'd see peace,
Instead of just resting in.

A strong heart,
Knows how to avoid the homicide.

Actually.. I had almost punched someone to death.. His skull had several fractures. If I had hit him more.. I would have caved his skull in.

So no.. Not metaphorical "almost killed someone". Too bad I wish I had kept going. =/
Yet, it is very unlike me to do so.. I'm a non-violent person, he [i]was[/i] my best friend.. Or one of the closer ones.. Backstabbers and liers and cheating women oh my..

Little enough to bloody someone, enough to leave them breathing. *shrug* things happen in life. Hopefully, I can walk away with nothing but the fractures on my knuckles... Of which I know are there (I can feel them under the skin) but noone else does.

We seem to have a few things in common with life. Perhaps we should chat in a chatroom?
